THE NEW SANCTION YEAR begins 9/1/22!

All teams must re-sanction as of this date (sanction is good 9/1/22 through 8/31/23).

AGE DETERMINATION

  • The player's age as of December 31, 2022 determines the age group they will play in the 2023 season which begins September 1, 2022. 
  • Team Name Changes During the Year - If your team sanctions under one name, then changes names during the year, you will need to re-sanction under the new team name.
  • If your team is insured by a general liabilities policy and you change team names, you will need to purchase a new  general liabilities policy under your new team name.

TO REGISTER WITH USA SOFTBALL OF ALABAMA

  1. Sanction your team with USA SOFTBALL OF ALABAMA: PAY SANCTION FEE HERE
    then
  2. Go to this REGISTRATION SIGN UP PAGE  to create an account and begin signing up for tournaments. 
  3. Every tournament that your team is signed up for, the coach will need to click sign up for  Text/Email messages to receive updates, such as (schedule has posted, scores, ect.) This purple box is located on each individual tournament listing!
  4. All adults (18 yrs. and older) on the field/dugout must have a background check through USA Softball and be SafeSport certified for the current year. (this can be done  HERE  click on the Background Tab and then the SafeSport tab.) PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY!  ** Be sure you are syncing your USA ID/Registration correctly! If not you will be prompted for a payment. 
  5. If you need insurance- CLICK HERE -  INSURANCE
    ***Insurance is not required to be purchased through USA Softball unless your team plays Championship play. For example, Nationals.

 

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

  • Tournaments usually fill up EARLY,  it is recommended to sign-up at least 2 weeks prior to tournament date
  • ONE DAY TOURNAMENTS - DEADLINE TO DROP IS THE TUESDAY PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT -  Teams dropping after Tuesday prior to the tournament will be charged $100 late drop fee. ANY TEAM DROPPING ON OR AFTER THURSDAY WILL BE CHARGED the full entry fee and will also be required to pay their next tournament in advance before registration will be approved. 
  • All other tournaments- please check the specific deadlines for that specific tournament
  • **NEW C-CLASS PICKUP RULE 2023** Coaches may pickup as many players as they need. It does NOT matter what position you they play as long as they come from a current registered USA C-Class team or are approved by Tracy Morgan prior to the tournament.** Example of an included exception would be: You pick up a REC player that has never played travel ball before.  
  • At each tournament teams must provide the following at check in:
    1. Proof of USA team registration 
    2. Proof of team insurance  (CLICK HERE FOR INSURANCE OPTIONS)
    3. Entry Fee 
    4. Roster for that day
  • All Rosters MUST be turned in every week, NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • We accept online rosters or paper roster whichever is most convenient for you. If you're doing an online roster they must be submitted no later than 8pm Friday. Online Rosters should be submitted by logging into your gfp.tournamentusasoftball.com account. If you don't remember your login please bring a paper roster.   • INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO   
  • Pick up players should NEVER be listed on your team roster. You need a pick up player form for each of your pickup players! 
  • Special playing requests will be considered but not guaranteed
    • ​Request must be noted in your online registration
    • Game time requests only
  • Game times are posted around 11am on Thursday prior to the tournament
  • GAME BALLS WILL BE PROVIDED BY TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR
  • ALL TEAMS SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF EACH PLAYERS' BIRTH CERTIFICATE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST BY TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR. FAILURE TO SHOW PROOF OF AGE UPON REQUEST WILL RESULT IN PLAYER TO BE EJECTED FROM TOURNAMENT AND GAME FORFEITURE.

Emphasis shall be on participation, sportsmanship, enjoyment of the game, working together as a Team, and the physical and mental development of each participant.
